About the CHS Band
The Cooper Band is one of the outstanding fine arts organizations at Cooper High School in the Abilene Independent School District. There are currently 225 members of the CHS Band. Our students participate in nearly every organization on the CHS campus in addition to their dedication to the band program. The Clack MS Cardinal Band and the Madison MS Bison Band are the two middle school band programs that feed the Cooper High School Band. About the Directors
The Cooper High School Director of Bands is Mr. S. Clay Johnson. The Associate Director of Bands is Mrs. Pearl Owens. The Associate Director of Bands & Percussion Coordinator is Mr. Patrick Stevenson. The Colorguard Director is Mrs. Becky Mathis.

About the Boosters
The Cooper Band Boosters are an integral part of the Cooper High School Band. Meetings are every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm in the CHS Band Hall. Please check the calendar regularly to see meeting details.
We welcome new boosters and encourage all members to attend monthly meetings. Your participation will benefit every student of the Cooper High School Band.
